WEEK BEFORE TREATMENT:
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vit E due to blood thinning.
- Don’t drink caffeine or alcohol at least 24 hours before or after your appointment for fillers.
- Start taking Arnica 3 days before treatment to decrease bruising and swelling.
- Consent should be given during this time, over the phone with my Nurse Practitioner.
DAY OF TREATMENT:
- Show up with a clean face, if possible.
- Pre-photos will be taken for records. Social media consent is encouraged for my busines to grow and always greatly appreciated, but, up to you of course.
- Have an idea of what you want out of your appointment and we’ll chat.
- We will use a topical numbing agent where needed and a lidocaine block for lip injections. I also pre-treat filler clients with Prilosec and Xantac for decreased inflammation and after with topical Arnica and an ice pack.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT:
- Your lips may be numb for a few hours.
- You may have bruising and will most likely have swelling if getting fillers. Ice baby!
- Don’t plan any important events within at least 2 weeks of lip filler treatment. You will want to give your body time to heal. 1 month minimum is recommended.
TWO WEEKS AFTER:
- Sit back and relax, wait for the final results to appear!! Sometimes it helps to look at your before pics so you can really see the difference.
- If you have any worries or questions, please see the other “aftercare” pages or call me.
- Please send me an update pic!!
